Introduction

Welcome to the Privacy Policy for FocusFlow AI, a Chrome extension designed to help you track and improve your productivity. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your data when you use our extension. It applies to all users of FocusFlow AI, and by installing the extension, you agree to the terms outlined here.

Data We Collect

FocusFlow AI collects the following data to provide its functionality:

  • Time Tracking Data: The amount of time you spend on websites, categorized as Productive, Unproductive, or Neutral based on your settings. This data is recorded in minutes and stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage API.
  • User Settings: Information about which websites you've categorized as Productive or Unproductive, also stored locally.
  • Theme Preference: Your chosen theme (light or dark), saved to enhance your user experience.

We do not collect personally identifiable information (e.g., your name, email, or browsing content) or track your activity across websites outside of time spent.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide the features of FocusFlow AI, including:

  • Calculating your productivity score based on the proportion of Productive time.
  • Displaying stats (Productive, Unproductive, Neutral times) and a pie chart in the popup.
  • Generating personalized productivity tips based on your score.
  • Saving your settings and theme preference for a consistent experience.

We do not share your data with third parties, use it for advertising, or process it for analytics. All processing occurs locally on your device.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage API. We do not upload your data to any cloud servers or share it with external services. The security of your data is maintained through:

  • Local encryption provided by Chrome's storage system.
  • No access by third-party applications or individuals.
  • No third-party services or scripts have access to your data. We do not include or use any external analytics, advertising, or tracking libraries.

Since data is not transmitted, the risk of unauthorized access is minimized. However, you are responsible for securing your device to prevent unauthorized access to the extension's data.
