Your privacy is the core of our mission. This policy explains what information Digital Shield collects, or more importantly, what it **does not** collect.

Our Core Privacy Promise

Digital Shield is designed from the ground up to protect your privacy. We believe that your browsing data is yours and yours alone. Therefore, we have a very simple and strict data policy:

We do not collect, store, or sell any of your personal information or browsing activity. Ever.

What Information Does Digital Shield Handle?

To provide its features, Digital Shield needs to handle some data. However, this data is kept locally on your computer and is never sent to our servers.

• Extension Settings: Your preferences, such as your chosen theme, font settings, and blocking persona, are saved locally on your device using `chrome.storage.sync`. This allows your settings to sync between your own browsers if you are logged into your Google account, but we cannot access this data.
• Tracker Information (Current Tab): To show you what trackers are on a page, the extension temporarily stores a list of detected trackers for the active tab. This data is stored in `chrome.storage.local` and is automatically deleted when you close or navigate away from the tab.
• Premium Status: If you purchase Digital Shield PRO, a simple `isPremium: true` flag is stored in `chrome.storage.sync`. This is used only to unlock PRO features and is not tied to any personal account on our end.

What Information We **NEVER** Collect

To be perfectly clear, we will never collect, log, or have access to:

• Your browsing history
• Your search queries
• Any data you enter into forms
• Your IP address
• Your personal files or information

Third-Party Services

Digital Shield is a self-contained extension. We do not use any third-party analytics or advertising services within the extension itself.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever make changes to this privacy policy, we will notify you through the extension and provide a clear summary of what has changed. We are committed to maintaining our core privacy promise.
